01 About

Skopos puts a cinema-camera viewfinder, a light meter, a sun and moon tracker, and a structured scout-report system into a single tool.

It is built for cinematographers, directors of photography, location scouts, and producers preparing for production. All scout data is stored locally on the device and, optionally, in your own iCloud Drive. There is no account to create.

A Viewfinder Live camera preview with field-of-view simulation across a library of cinema cameras and arbitrary focal lengths. Stills and video save to your Camera Roll and the in-app Skopos gallery, with HUD and scout metadata.
B Light Meter Exposure-triangle solver with two-wheel T-stop, shutter, and ISO controls. Includes a depth-of-field calculator tied to the active camera and lens.
C Sun & Moon Tracker Real-time solar and lunar position projected onto the live viewfinder for the device's GPS coordinates. Full-day arc visualization for lighting and blocking plans.
D Depth Measurement LiDAR-based distance measurement on supported devices, for blocking, marks, and rough lens-distance reads in the field.
E Photo & Video Editor Gallery-side editing for every capture: color correction, an eight-look film library, custom .cube LUT import, and lens-true depth-of-field simulation from an on-device depth model. Non-destructive, saved per photo, carried into every export.
F Scout Reports Project, location, and shot-list system. Each location captures GPS, address, compass headings on photos, drive times, weather (current, forecast, historical), nearby hospitals / fire / police / fuel, and contacts from your address book. Exports to PDF.
G iCloud Drive Sync Optional sync of scout files across your devices via your own iCloud account. No third-party server is involved.

05 Privacy

Skopos has no servers and no user accounts. All scout data is stored locally on your device and, optionally, in your own iCloud Drive. Network requests are made only to first-party Apple services (WeatherKit, MapKit, StoreKit, iCloud) using your own Apple ID. The app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDK of any kind.
